Windows Phone has had a bad rap over the years for being slow and having an unpredictable bootup, but isMyTouchscreenOK actually a virus, or just a rogue piece of software? After putting this system through its paces for a few weeks, I can honestly say that it's not a virus, and that the free download is a highly recommended update to any Windows phone user. So, how does the program work, and will you be able to use it on your Windows Phones?
The way the program works is quite simple. You install the program, and it then walks you through a series of easy steps. First, it connects to your Windows phone via Bluetooth, and then it searches through all the files on your computer to check if there are any viruses, and if so, then it deletes them. It also checks if your screen is covered by some sort of screen protector and then simply removes that covering to allow you to see the real touch screen. The program works in Cydia and should work on any jailbreak based applications.
Overall, I like it and will probably continue to use it. One thing I like about it, however, is the ability to use it on my Windows 7 Mobile. I use Windows Phone a lot less than I used my Blackberry, so now I'm able to use my touch screen on the go, and not worry about it becoming ruined or anything. I've found that sometimes the programs that have "rogue" applications can actually cause more problems than they fix. With IsMyTouch ScreenOK, I've been able to keep my phone working, and have yet to experience any issues with it whatsoever.
